The Mayhew Family!
I love this family!!! Bettie is one of my very closest friends and we have seen each other through fire and rain. I have been so thrilled to see she and her husband, Cole, start a family. I had the privilege of doing their maternity photo’s and Jackson’s newborn photo’s. He’s been growing so much lately, we just had to do another session! So, I’m putting them up in honor of Jax taking his very first steps today!!!
Wedding :: Lauren and Josh
I actually teared up in this wedding. It’s true, I did. The ceremony was so beautiful and I left not only satisfied with the outcome of the photo’s but I left feeling challenged and encouraged in my own marriage. This was a huge wedding filled with hundreds of amazing and beautiful people who were so obviously thrilled to see this amazing couple begin their life together. Josh and Lauren have also started an adorable and quite entertaining blog called The First Year Project. Check it out. I’m so happy to finally be able to put up some of their photo’s. Enjoy! I know it’s a lot!
What to Wear :: Outdoor Senior Session
I often receive inquiries from clients wondering what in the world they should wear to their photo shoot! This is a common question, therefore I am going to attempt to write new posts on what you should wear according to different types of shoots in different types of locations!
The inaugural post in this category will be geared toward female graduating seniors! While looking at these outfits that can all be found at Forever21, imagine an outdoor setting. Lots of trees, fields and natural colors.

The 12 Project :: May
Ahhh yes, the month of May was a sporadic one indeed.
It began with a very moving women’s conference at our beloved church Real Life.
Then…. my BIRTHDAY! Whoot! It has occurred to me that the older I get the less I care about celebrating the day I came into the world. However, I did really like my birthday present from Hubby. He took me to get my monroe repierced! Something I had been talking about for about 6 months. It’s been a few years since I had my old one and I missed it. Yay for a good birthday present!!!
Aside from lots of photo shoots, the most interesting aspect of the month of May was definitely our spontaneous move to St Augustine! We love it here and are constantly grateful for our living situation which allows us to pick up and go at the slightest desire. Well, here we are.
Oh yeah, I also cut nine inches off my hair. Cheers!
The 12 Project :: April
Man ALIVE! I am just Mrs. Slacker lately. It is now June 23rd and I realized I didn’t do a 12 project for the last 2 months! Eeeskh!!!! Well, there is absolutely a LOT of catching up to do!!! Sooooooooo, this post will serve as April’s recap and I’ll do another post for MAY’S recap before June ends and I have to recap this crazy month.
April.
April was kicked off with a birthday party for my forever friend, Heidi Lawrence.
I adore my sweet Heidi. I met Heidi when I was 7 years old and she was 9. She moved in next door to our family and I told my mom I wanted to be her first friend in this neighborhood. And she’s still my best. A few hours before we all went out for her birthday, she took me into a seperate room to share the incredibly joyous news that she and her husband Brad are expecting their first child. Considering she hadn’t shared the news yet with her family in the next room I had to do my very best to conceal my excitement. It was the hardest thing I ever did in my life. But I did it. I love you Heidifer.
The next day, my husband and I celebrated Easter at our beautiful church. I was able to lead worship this day, just like many others. But I have to say that Easter is one of my favorite times to worship.
Then we traveled to Tampa to spend the afternoon with family. My family is a trip! We always enjoy it.
My niece and nephew, Kaitlyn and Ty, came and spent the weekend with us. The most memorable [notice I said memorable -- not enjoyable] moment of the weekend was definitely when Ty threw up in the pool and then said, “I think I’m allergic to water.”
My husband turned 26 on the 19th. To celebrate his birthday I surprised him with a going out affair. About 15 of our close friends met us in Orlando at SAKS Comedy Lab where we enjoyed a night of improv and hilarity. Best of all, there was a 20 minute portion dedicated to the life of my sweet husband — Shakespeare style. It was so wonderful. I wish I could add a clip on here but alas, I cannot.
April was a good month.

Engagement :: Adam and Meghan + Sara
Next month, Luke and I will be kicking off Independence Day weekend with a beautiful beach wedding featuring these three adorable people. We met up with Adam and Meghan this past weekend for a very humid engagement session. By the end of our session we were all flushed and sweaty but the pictures came out fantastically and we even got to cool off on a fun airboat ride to an island! Can’t wait for this wedding!

Wedding Favors
I still haven’t forgotten the weddings that I have attended that had unique favors for the guests to take home. It is something they’ll never forget if you just make it unforgettable. Here are some ideas from Etsy.
First we have some custom button’s from Feeling is Mutual. Yes, they’re obviously more pricey than a candle but I’m writing this post assuming that some bride and grooms to be don’t want that. Check out the detail of these buttons and imagine the incredible uniqueness.
The following coasters are so pretty! Check out AngelEllies shop for her complete selection of wedding coaster’s! She offers a discount on orders over 50 and even orders over 100! Each set of coasters comes with 5 coasters.
